Diana Hernandez

My name is Diana Hernandez. I was born in East Los Angeles and raised in Monterey Park. Prior to pursuing my graduate education, I worked for LAUSD at an elementary school for seven years as a paraprofessional and then as a teacher. I recently attained my master’s degree in speech-language pathology at the University of Southern California’s Keck School of Medicine, where I built a strong foundation in clinical practice and research. I gained hands on practice across six clinical practicums working with early intervention, school aged children, and adults within the schools, hospitals, and a private practice. I have acquired experience conducting assessments and providing therapy in both English and Spanish to a diverse client population, including individuals with varying levels of aphasia, dysphagia, cognition, speech, language, autism spectrum disorders, and Parkinson’s disease.

In my spare time I enjoy walks with my dog, reading, trying out new coffee shops, and going to Disneyland. I also love to attend Dodger games, especially out of state, when possible, to eventually check off every stadium.

I joined the field of speech-language pathology for the opportunity to help and support individuals across the lifespan pursue their goals. I look forward to meeting and collaborating with you and your esteemed families throughout this journey.
